    Jay, I'm not a hater on American bikes either. I'd love to have an Excelsior, Henderson, Pope, Crocker, or a number of other prewar American bikes. I'd even like a postwar Indian Chief. But Harley? Forget it. They're just not very good, and too many who own them are loud, class-less assholes.

    I'm a hater of false advertising from a supposed American bike company: HD. They admit now it's a 'global economy' and use foreign parts. Read goingfaster. com/angst/noharley2. html
    Foreign companies make much better bikes. If you buy HD, you're paying a LOT for the name and lesser quality.

    Johnny Neubert: LEARN about HD. You are hearing only propaganda about it. The bikes are NOT that good. Other companies make better bikes. Stick with German or Japanese bikes ONLY. You'll pay more for the HD name.
