FACT OFF is a music-poetry performance prepared and performed by Ambrosia as a celebration of its 14th year of existence. It is important Ambrosia’s anniversary, since the number 7 has crucial role in the Ambrosia’s universe: two 7-year cycles are passed and the third one is beginning. FACT OFF is a composed blend of electro-acoustical musical sequences and spoken words enriched by improvisation and experiment. It a musical journey “beyond” clear musical styles: though, one can recognize moments and inspirations of jazz, ambient, industrial, electronica, classical, contemporary…etc music, none of the expressions dominates. FACT OFF is to be listened as a unique and authentic sonic artistic act. The music-poetry performance FACT OFF is a part of a new, broader artistic concept, having the same name, with intention to question and revaluate Ambrosia’s own position after 14 years of its existence in the pan-catastrophic world. What kind of subjective structure and aesthetics is in a background of Ambrosia’s eternal subsistence as the very boundary of society and its culture? In a phenomenology of those questions and answers Ambrosia appears as an irrefutable off-FACT that permanently, dissonantly and unyieldingly oscillates, always incommensurable to itself and its surrounding.
