This song, Destination is Unknown, was chosen as our first production video due to the driving force of the song, as well as the importance of the intention of the song. It speaks to the issue of over population, over consumption of resources, and personal isolation due to humans loosing touch with their humanity.
This is my first official music video. It was released on March Friday the 13th, 2009. The song "Destination is Unknown" was originally written back in the early 90's as part of my solo project Box of Miracles , then about 2 years ago using new technology and sounds I rewrote and presented it within Hipnautica. This gave the song a much more modern feel. Then over the winter of 2008 I rewrote the song again using Logic and a Macbook Pro. I love the driving nature of this song, and the story behind the song.
We start in the ocean featuring jellyfish, then primal man, the industrialization and then a serious of subliminal and obvious reference points such as the red planet being industrialized and loosing contact with the earth which is left to total anihilation.
Parts of this video were stolen from various online resources, as well as personal video shot over the past year, as well as original footage of one of our performers ROSCINE, shot on location within a local forest by Sky with assistance from Glenzo and Blood and Glitter Makeup.
This video was shot using a Mini DV camera, edited entirely with Motion and took over 40+ hours to produce.
