Avery Stafford - Cool Winds (a tribute to Michael Jackson) by Avery Stafford

To say that the sudden loss of Michael Jackson was a shock would be a gross understatement. I can truly say that my life has been forever changed by his life, his music, his legacy, and his untimely passing. Cool Winds is my attempt to make some sense of it all AS WELL AS to tell the Jackson Family how much I truly loved their son. He was indeed the King of Pop; the greatest entertainer of all time! God willing, I will record a studio version of this for my upcoming album. For now, here is a live recording on June 28 and copywritten later that evening. Players include Clay Bandy on drums, Dan Wilburn on bass, David Snellbacher on guitar, and Matt Mendoza on lead guitar. I am playing keys. I pray that this song will bless your life. It is already blessing mine! For more info on my music, check out http://www.myspace.com/averystafford Cool Winds (A Tribute To Michael Jackson) Words and Music by Avery Stafford Verse 1 I turned on the news and saw that all the world had been confused It was like a generation lost their muse Now what do we do? The silent moment comes for Gary, Indianas favorite son And even though the day is still brand new What do we do? (chorus) Chorus There seems to be no end To all thats going wrong in this ole world Im captured by invisible cool winds That rush me to the highest point within Ive gotta find a reason for my life the one that got away A song of endless love; dare I pray? Verse 2 An angel passing on I guess the time was right to go back home But the pain of losing all that I have known Im not the only one If peace is never done, and we remember why the songs were sung The people of the earth will dance as one Its now begun! (chorus)
