Getting My Own Back (on you) by Unlucky Fried Kitten

03:17
This is a very rough take of a new song to show my band members how it goes...as we are gonna do it in the studio next week. It is called "GETTING MY OWN BACK(on you)" and it contains STRONG SWEAR WORDS. Filthy language. Fruity Lyrics. Whatever.....don't watch if you're quite young. Unlucky Fried Kitten are in the studio in mid- October to record this song..along with 3 other songs. Song-List 1. Life In My Town 2. People 3. To Whom It May Concern 4. Getting My Own Back (on you) Unlucky Fried Kitten are: Andy Export on vocals Lee Palmer on bass James Hayward on drums James Palmer on guitar (more)

The Ghost train

02:42
from the Burial Ground Lane series. Performed by :I am A Spider rom the Burial Ground Lane series. Performed by :I am A Spider now featured in the UFK Dollshouse In 1972 I built a ghost train inmy back garden with the assistance of my childhood pals..Ashley, Greg and Russell. We lived in Palmer's Green Lane in Brenchley, Kent. The carriages on the Ghost Train were made from orange boxes and we painted them in dark twisted black and red colours to represent the dark of the night and the red of Manchester United's shirt..worn by George best. The actual Ghost Train run was made from sticks and tarpaulin. Greg's Dad was a lorry driver so we got the tarpaulin from him. The sticks were cut from some strangely mutated things called trees. We made dummies of ghosts and monsters and bogeymen and we positioned them in the 'carriages'. We became well-known for our Ghost Train...locally, I mean, and people brought their kids to see it. We were kids ourselves, of course, and we knew nothing of greedy capitalism..so we never thought to charge a fee to see it. A trick missed. We did get on the national affairs programme, Panorama, but this was in the days before widely available VHS..so we have no record of it. If anyone has it...Panorama..October 12th 1972, please contact me...I would pay top money for it...AT LEAST ONE THOUSAND POUNDS..as it is part of my unrecoverable youth..and I have not seen it since. It would be great to show my children...they are building a rocketship in our garden as we speak. So...enjoy the Ghost Train and spare a thought for the wide-eyed kids of the Glam-Rock era who thought they could take on DisneyLand.

We Are The Meeces

03:10
part part of The Burial Ground Lane series. The story behind the story: In 1988 I took myself away to write some songs. I rented out a cottage on the Yorkshire moors...somewhere near Hebden bridge, if you know it. I also stayed at Sowerby bridge and Todmorden. At the edge of the moor there was a little pub called "The Mousehole" I got drunk there one night and wrote a whole chapter for my current (in 1988) book, "The Tragedian". I got to thinking how spooky it would be if the cottage was over-run by nasty moorland mice with big red eyes and teeth like china. I saw no mice, only sheep. However, I did dream about being trapped in a room with a mouse called Gerald. Yeah, I think it must have been Syd Barrett's mouse. Gerald told me about the gang of mice he'd run as a youthful rodent. This is how this song, The meeces, came about. The odd thing is I have never had another dream about gerald. He's probably dead by now anyway. Do mice have ghosts? Listen to "Ghost train" you may find the answer...and remember: Next time you see a mouse in a field... It could be a descendant of one of the original meeces. of The Burial Ground Lane series.

The Museum

03:22
The Museum of Old Sparks was a private mansion house before World War II...in the ownnership of the Sparks' family of Wittersham. It was turned into a makeshift school for evacuated children in 1936 when most of the outer rooms were boarded up...with the artefacts still inside. Legend goes that some of the local prisoners were sedated and boarded up in the outlying rooms..to perish. Many lost souls were trapped in the atmosphere and are said to be still there today. After the war the house was returned to the Sparks' family but they didn't return to live there. They opened it up as a museum...The Museum of Old Sparks. Ronald Sparks was killed in The Blackheath Bacon Riots of 1949* and the squabbling Sparks' family accepted an offer from The National Trust..who now own The Museum..at time of going to press...January 2007. I hope you enjoy my song about this magnificent specimen of the macabre. *He was condemned to be hanged but he saved his life by dying in prison.

News Of The World

03:52
From the album ww.loserville.com The story behind the story... One day I woke up from a dream in which I was rescuing a young Prince Buster 7" single from a serious crushing incident at the south-facing end of the kitchen in the "Rancid Badger" drive-by diner in West Hollywood. The comestible-laden fridge fridge had collapsed and had already split the Buddy Holly discs in 1000 pieces and The Prince buster disc was next. I leapt across the diner and rescued the single with a wooden box...which first I'd emptied its' contents: an assortment of ornamental chocolates in the shape of 70's cast members of "Coronation Street". Everybody cheered. Judd Nelson presented me with a DVD of the entire incident. The weird thing is when I awoke there was no sign of the DVD or indeed of the Prince buster single. Even stranger I live in Catford, South East London. Never been to Los Angeles in my life. It prompted me to write this song about The News Of The World. It bears no relation to the prince Buster Hollywood reverie incident but I felt it was indirectly unlinked. Please enjoy the video. It took four years and $11,125 and three sacked directors to make. speed camera

04:14
This is from the Loserville album by Unlucky Fried Kitten..the ill -fated South East Rock band. It was summer 2004 and Jeremy Clarkeson had been banging on about speed cameras on tv. Me? I lost my licence to the speed camera fiends...got zapped twice in one day which is pretty impressive. Lost my job. Lost my house. Lost my mind. So I wrote this song about it. Not that it helped much. I probably would have lost the house anyway. Eventually. In a terrible poker game. But...back to the issue. Some say I collect wooden boxes...but I don't.I had an Italian friend called Mickey....he collects wooden boxes...though I've not seen him for a few years so he may have sold them...what with the advent of e-bay....and other reputable on-line auction houses. My speed camera song got to number 64 in Hungary, where the speed-cams are called Ratto-Blasters. They don't have speed-cameras in Portugal but I still had a minor hit there with the song. They thought it was a song about very fast paparazzi guys. I didn't correct them.I have to go now...my dinner is coming along nicely. Fish fingers.

revenge

03:37
lost track featuring Mickey Apples now available in the UFK Dollshouse 1984 was the year of the apple in Kent...which is where i live, just near Maidstone if you know it. So....my bass guitarist was called Mickey Apples but he had designs to be more than just a bassist...he wanted to write songs. That's fine...but not in my band. i guess it sounds selfish but I could only sing my own compositions. Mickey left the band in a huff and he released a couple of singles...Black Sheep was a good one of his...and an album called Dead Pop Stars. Then he killed himself on the release date..so I always have a place in my heart for Mickey. But this song is the last one featuring Mickey on bass. I was beaten up badly in a bar once and I waited for 5 years to get my revenge...and this is exactly how it happened. Enjoy the song. Thanks. Andy Export from Unlucky Fried Kitten....though we were called Death In Venice at the time we done this song.

Title track to the 2004 Release by Unlucky Fried Kitten. Read on for story....In the darkening corridors of an Edwardian property in Kent, South East England lived a woman called Twisted Peggy. Well, that wasn't her real name. It's what the locals called her.She was bitter because, like Miss Haversham in Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, she had been jilted at the aisle. She obsessed about the Miss Haversham character so much that she even bought her mansion in Faversham because it rhymed with Haversham. She brooded for years eating mostly stale cake and bread as a symbolic gesture to the failed wedding feast. Suddenly...someone invented the internet and Twisted Peggy saw a way that she could get her revenge on the male populace. She set up her dating agency, Loserville.com, and slowly but surely she brought men and women of all shapes and sizes together to enter into loveless marriages forever.....thanks to her witch-like spells over the proceedings. So...if you are trawling the web for that someone special please remember to carry a large stick and a crucifix for when you stumble upon Loserville.com...and we all do eventually.
