Hit that ball – Interpretation If you listen to the chorus of this song, you would think this track is about sports. But if you pay close attention to the lyrics of the verses you will discover that it’s more about overcoming adversity and achieving success. In this song Tiger and Venus represent 2 people that have become successful in careers where they different from the majority, Tiger in golf and Venus in tennis. It was a hard road for both of them to become the successful champions they are today. But with determination they climbed the highest mountains! This means that no matter what your current situation is, if you focus hard to achieve a goal, you will get there if you keep at it. “The Ball” represents a goal, so when I say “go ahead and hit that ball that means set goals, focus on those goals, and keep after them. When I say “til we fall” the we represents the people who support you (family, friends, and fans,) in your quest to achieve your goals. Once you achieve your goals, you become an example for the people that supported you and you give them hope that one day they will be able to achieve their goals. So in the video I wanted to show myself looking successful so when people watch it and listen to the lyrics simultaneously they see a person who has set goals, focused hard, and now has become successful through hard work and determination. Although, I have never shot a video in my life, which supports the theory “anything is possible,” I wanted to use a good quality camera, because if we are going to do it, let’s do it right. Thanks to Tumbo’s advice and guidance we were able to make it happen. The video was shot here in Southern California. My camera crew included my mother, my wife, and my 3 year old son all who have never even held a camera before. Over the course of 3 days, we shot 3 hours of footage simply because I had no idea what would look good and what wouldn’t so I shot as much as I could. Once we converted the files on to a hard drive and mailed off to Tumbo, all I could do is wait………………………. And this is what you get when you work with Tumbo!!!! High Quality!! So when you watch the video, think about your own life and where you want to be. Set your goals, and work like crazy to get there! Hit that Ball!!!!
