What a surprise.... our trailer breaks. We hit a couple of radio stations, a fan makes an amazing "sandwich" cake, Jimmy and Jake go to Emerable City Guitars in Seattle WA and a live performance of "Minimum Rage" at The Central- also in Seattle WA. Tour dates: www.psychostick.com
Billings, MT....whoa. Now that's a town that can give 110%. You'd think we were the Beatles, or at least some mid-level 90's pop band like Material Issue with all the attention and attendance that night.
The Sandwich CD Release Party Tour continues.... Josh orders some food from Subway and does a 2-bottle beer bong through a skull, we visit a state park, swing by KBear in Idaho Falls, ID and ruin Howie's show, and Alex has two shots of Jagermeister. Just another day on the road with Psychostick. Don't you just feel like you're riding shotgun in our van?
Never let it be said that we're not DIY. On this particular day we were in Cheyenne, WY for a show at the Old Community House. We supplied the pa system and Joshy ran it (and we paid him $50 for doing it not suck-like). Our promoter, Hurricane Jake, is only 15 years old too! Yeah, this show was insane and a total blast.... like free tacos served by naked hot chicks. Yumness. This is how Motley Crue did it, right?
We're in Colorado Springs, CO at The Black Sheep. Our good friend The Vaggies (aka: Saved By Ruin) are opening up the show. Their drummer, Vaggie #4 STILL doesn't know the words to any of our songs. You can watch her fail the first time on our our new DVD, The Birthening. KILO Mom makes an appearance and even introduces us on stage. She rocks. Before the show we stopped in for a visit with Ross on his morning show at KILO. He's awesome. So yeah, enjoy this the blog.
When we're not melting faces off with tasty metal, we try to see parts of the towns we're in. On this particular day we found Video Game Exchange and Repair located next door to The Black Sheep. It's pretty much the most amazing collection of "vintage" and current video games and supplies we've ever seen. Watch the video and agree with us or you're stupid. Oh yeah, we're still on tour and our new album, Sandwich, is still in stores. One more thing - if any of you know Sevendust or Machinehead... please tell them we're looking to tour with them. Thanks.
It's early April 2009 and our new album, Sandwich, is only a few weeks away from being released. We've got a 100+ city US tour in the works to prepare for.
Psychostick needs your help in funding the new album! A mere $50 will place you in a verse and $250 will put your business name in the verse! Naturally this means your name will appear in the lyrics on the CD. Visit psychostick.com/newalbum for more info and to donate!
Psychostick performs "I Can Only Count to Four" in Odessa, TX. It's a parody of Drowning Pool's "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor". Laugh if you must. We do.
