Photos from the one woman rock-musical, Footsteps of a Nobody written and performed by Donna Williams and musically supported by The Aspinauts. The slideshow features pictures of Donna Williams, Paul Spears, Earl Wollff, Harry Hormone, Anthony Julian. The photos are by Chris Samuel (taken at The Carlton Courthouse and Spenser's Live) and by Paul Temple (taken at Wodonga Civic Centre).
The audio recording is to one of the songs from the show, Broken Biscuit, and was recorded by Paul Spears at PV Studios in Ferntree Gully (http://www.myspace.com/pvsounds) where Donna and The Aspinauts record. The audio recording features Aspinauts: Paul Spears (drums), Mark Winston (bass and lead guitar), Harry Hormone (acoustic guitar), Earl Wollff (bass) and Anthony Julian (keyboards). The recording was made for Donna to perform this track throughout the UK and Ireland on her October tour 2009 between Oct 2nd and Oct 17th.
Footsteps of A Nobody is a powerful one woman rock-musical both written and performed by Donna Williams, author of the international best seller, Nobody Nowhere; Autobiography of an Autistic Girl . This is a unique opportunity to witness the author herself perform a story that has changed the lives of millions. Through vibrant song, characterisations, gestural signing, evocative spoken word, and musically supported by the band, The Aspinauts, Donna takes us on a journey from a seemingly deaf, psychotic, 'feral' child to life on the streets and ultimately on to her fight for equality among others.
