Skin, formerly of Skunk Anansie, along with Robot Club has put forward an incredibly moving track for the album and explains her views on the importance of the album and the cause.
Yusuf Islam, once known as Cat Stevens, presents Edge of Existence for the Survival album. The song plays in this video as Yusuf tells of his feeling for the tribal peoples.
KT Tunstall tells us why Survival International is a superb cause and explains why she has contributed to the album that Bruce Parry has brought together for Survival as inspired by his BBC series Amazon.
Referring to vulnerable tribal peoples she says it's brilliant that "you can actually support a hidden world of people that's in danger".
Jason Mraz and Brett Dennen speak here about their contribution to an album for Survival International, the human rights organization for tribal peoples.
Bruce Parry, star of the BBC series Tribe and the forthcoming Amazon, has teamed up with some of the music worlds biggest names to create a fundraising album for Survival.
Musicians on the album also include KT Tunstall, Skin from Skunk Anansie, will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas), Johnny Borrell (Razorlight), Tom Baxter, Mystery Jets, Yusuf Islam, Hot Chip, the Go! Team and Mike Oldfield.
Bruce Parry talks about the reasons why he brought together such an astounding group of artists to work on an album in aid of Survival International.
He says "we need to listen to our tribal communities, and we're kind of killing them off. Survival's doing great work trying to stop that and trying to raise awareness.
"So that marriage of the music, the awareness, Survival and hopefully people buying the CD so that they can put something back towards the charity, it all seems like a nice package."
