This song was written as a poem in 1949 by Bette Wickins when her husband to be was being drafted into the National Guard. As she was thinking about him, she looked out the window of her upstairs bedroom and the moon she saw was a beautiful one. It caused her to compose a poem. She had to write it down immediately because she felt she would forget it about it the next day. 30 years later the poem resurfaced during the Wickins 30 year anniversary they went through old love letters and found "Message of Love" that was written in 1949. Well here it is now 2009, 60 years later and it finally becomes the song which was meant be.
