Hurricane Gustav dumped 25" of rain on our Project in its first 24 hours. That would have been enough, but it then continued to downpour for days afterwards. We were flooded not only by the local river, but also by eight feet of rock sliding down off the nearby mountains. You can see one of our pick-up trucks completely buried by the rock slide. Our storage depot and all of our childrens' homes have been devastated by the flood, along with all of our supplies and tools, which were inside the flooded depot. Noel 'rained' through at the end of October, creating a new 30' wide river running through our property! Everyone here is safe, but we are raising funds for our affected property and neighbors who lost everything!! See our blog or homepage for more info.
