I have recently been shocked (&, of course, flattered!) to hear my landlord now wants to hire ME to rid the other apartments of roaches, too! I'm the frickin' LA roach version of St. Patrick. ; ) For those not filled in on this saga!!! Please note that I was using the (very limited) software to edit Part 1, so soon we will use someone else's equipment to edit both parts properly! We DID film the incredible, heart-warming (musical!) version of part 2, but I have to put off editing it for now - so busy!!! THE GREATEST COMEDY COMES FROM PAIN: When I was asked to do a featured live webcast from my apt for http://blog.tv/ recently, I still had the tent up & so I decided to do a fun little mini-flick introducing it. My apt has been totally roach-free for a long time now, but I thought it would be fun to make a cute little mini-musical-comedy documentary video about it. It was a VERY last-minute idea, so it's not exactly a Michael Moore-level video exposé!!! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FLIP CAMERA SOFTWARE IS LIMITED & DIDN'T ALLOW ME TO EDIT MORE PRECISELY. I have also learned quite a bit about which bug-killers are eco-friendly, such as boric acid, roach gel, caulking, and more! Unfortunately, there was a sudden, lasting power outage in my neighborhood the night of the web cast, so the show was delayed by a 1/2 hour and I wound up doing it from Starbucks (!) since my apartment had neither electricity nor wireless connection. See below for: DEFYING COCKROACHES PART 1. This is just a goofy little thing - we are playing (slightly exaggerated versions of) OURSELVES (yes, that's pretty much us!!!). The skeptical, but gorgeous and hilarious chick in the video is the lovely comedienne Ms. Kenisha Bell (http://www.myspace.com/funnybell)!!!!!! Stay tuned for Part 2!
