DASHER ~ A CELEBRATION OF LIFE "Dasher" came to an extream untimely end .....her life was way too short. When Dasher came to us, she fit in the palm of my hand, weighing 3/4 pound. She was the best gift in the world. A gift and friend that we will never forget. She was a beautiful little girl with an adventurous soul. As a growing adventurer, today, she learned to climb a wall for the first time. Unsettling, this lead to her fatal end. There on the other side of the wall was a small pack of dogs, She had just been in by my side a couple minutes earlier, then ran into the back yard to play with a leaf on the ground, not more then a minute later, I heard dogs barking I looked for Dasher in the back yard, then peaked over the fence to see what the dogs were barking about, they were surrounding her, I knew this was bad. When I picked her up, she let a small cry, We rushed her to her doctor, it was too late, I could feel her die in my arms. We have taken such baby steps to allow our young cats time to see and learn their environment, monitoring them way more then the average person might do. Yesterday I had just said, “they love the back yard so much, hopefully they would not want to go out front” Dasher looked up to me and trusted me as a child does, knowing that we are there to protect, I am so devastated I feel so empty now, there is no way to take the day back and start all over. Dasher is my star, and will remain in my heart always ~PEACE to DASHER~ April 27, 2006 - January 10, 2007
