I wrote this Blues this morning and had the video done by 9:00 am. I made all the renders and I'm uploading it before noon. That's the power of music distribution on the internet. You can find many downloadable formats at http://archive.org/details/moonstruck_blues Thanks, Hairy Larry

I got this myspace message from Timo and Saini in Finland.
Hi Hairy Larry,
We found your videos from the internet and have watched them with great enthusiasm and have really enjoyed them. We are a Finnish couple arranging a combined garlic and blues party in August and would like to ask you a great favour and surprise... Is it in any way possible that you could send us a video greeting to be shown during this party? We plan to show some of your videos as well.

This is a protest song about corruption in DC inspired by Scooter Libby, Alberto Gonzales, and George Bush. I hate leaving Cheney out but I only had time for two verses. Please feel free to rewrite it including your favorite corrupt politician.

Yes, I have a campfire in my back yard. I was sitting around the campfire with my morning coffee in my hand when the idea for this song came to me. Of course I had to shoot it in front of the campfire.

I wrote this back in the Blues Alley days and have performed it many times for a live audience. It's a 16 bar blues with a nice shuffle rhythm and a lyric everyone can relate to.

I worked on this one over several days recording scratch versions on my iRiver. Then when rehearsing it on the 6th the idea of the march came to me. Kind of "Hi ho hi ho it's off to work we go" crossed with "Trudging across the tundra".

I wrote "The Way" early in 2006 and made a video of it. I liked it so much I included it on my CD, "For My Dad". And now it's a SongPod.

This song was posted on the original TV Soup (now mixremix.com) in a version produced by John Kerst and myself. I think it's the first music video I made for the internet.

I wrote this song when recording "For My Dad" and it's been one of my favorites. I could hear the part "When e'er I roam So far from home" in my head so I knew there had to be lyrics for it.

I love the sound of this song and it is certainly a slower tempo than my recent bluegrass pieces so I called it "Slow Dance"

This song is full of The Bible, Greek mythology, and Shakespeare. Plus all kinds of ambiguity. Kind of made to order for the English Literature student. It is a song of temptaion and salvation. Kind of a shortened religious history of Man and Woman.

This great proto blues song has got jump and swing all going for it. Notice how my second finger just bounces up and down on every upbeat. A simple song calls for a simple arrangement. I just love it.

I call it Royal Arcade because of the trumpet flourishes. I'm gonna wear this jacket out before I have to return it.

I was loving this change so I thought I'd try something not to strenuous. The way the notes ring out in a minor key made me call it "Ringo's Lament".

I hear the melody from the first eight bars of the song as rung by bell pullers. I very much want to find someone to pull some bells for me and record the part. Anyway I hope this one rings your bell.

"Pop Top" is a short little ditty, a four bar change with an uptempo blues feel. Hairy Larry performs "Pop Top" on his Silvertone L5.

I was noodling around in C when out popped Old Joe Clark. On guitar it's a great technical piece for exercising the pinky. Oh, and it really cooks too.

I recorded this on my CD, "The Gift", all Christmas Carols except for "Ode To Joy". This arrangement is slightly different and of course it's a video. Every time I play this I think of The Beatles and "Help".

I woke up in the morning with this song in my head. I went directly to my computer and wrote the first verse. Then I took a bath and wrote the second verse in the bath. I shot it in front of my neighbor's turnip patch. I had the video before noon.
