Olkhon island is a very nice place at Baikal Lake -- the biggest fresh water lake in the world, situated in Siberia, near Irkutsk. It's on route of the Trans-Siberian railway, so if you ever go between Russia and China by train, it's definitely worth it to stop by Baikal and spend a few days camping there. It's wild, fresh, and envigorating.
