National Association of Black Females in Music and Entertainment Hosts New Artist Showcase Tonight at the Blue Room in Buckhead
Atlanta, GA (July 16, 2007) – Tonight, in an unprecedented show of support for new and emerging female artists, songwriters, producers and industry executives, the National Association of Black Females in Music and Entertainment (NABFEME) will host an explosive showcase of talented female performers at the Blue Room, a sleek new jazz restaurant in Buckhead (2359 Peachtree Road – Atlanta, GA 30305). Doors open at 7:00pm, show starts promptly at 8:00pm.
Tonight’s showcase features an eclectic blend of entertainers, including super-producer Dallas Austin’s new urban inspirational artist, Darlene McCoy (EMI Gospel Records); national recording artist Canton Jones’ wife Ramona Jones (Cajo International Records); singer/songwriter Nanyana Summer, an acoustic guitarist who writes and records with Speech Thomas of Grammy-award winning Arrested Development; Liz Yancey (JaShay Music Group), an experienced vocalist and radio show co-host with a passion for contemporary gospel; TYNA Q (Exclusive Management), a Latin teen artist with a sensational stage performance, and Atlanta-based vocalist CanDyse Jones, a rising R&B star with definite old-school flavor. The show will be hosted by Toria Huff, and music commissioners for the night include former WVEE music director, Tosha Love and Nicole Stokes of Mahogany Media, among others. The showcase is sponsored in part by NABFEME, SESAC, and the Blue Room.
