Gallery215 - North Fort Lauderdale Beach Night Time Lapse

This is North Fort Lauderdale beach between 3am and 5am. I'm located about a half mile north of Sunrise Blvd., on A1A, looking south. Two hours is compressed into less than a minute. Created using hundreds of still frames from a Nikon D200, the final footage is High Definition 1920 x 1080. Check out more of my videos here on MySpace and also on my web site www . Design215 . com

Thunderstorm Time Lapse

00:23
30 minutes on Fort Lauderdale beach at night = 10 seconds of time-lapse footage demonstrating the awesome power of nature. In the last few frames, you can see the deluge of rain coming. I had to make a run for it. =) If you like this video I have larger versions on design215.com The original footage is 1920 x 1080 High Definition. This is equal in quality to feature films being shot digitally. I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida but I'll be traveling the world over the next few years, creating time-lapse footage from many locations around the globe. Eventually this footage will be edited into a short feature film along the lines of Koyannisqatsi, a film that inspired me to explore time-lapse photography.

London Tower Clock Time-Lapse

00:46
Short time-lapse of the Tower Clock in London. It is incorrectly referred to as Big Ben by most Americans. Big Ben is the nickname of the bell inside the tower. This time-lapse was shot with a Nikon D200.

London Tour Bus Time-lapse

01:11
I went to visit my friend Hazel in Scotland and we went to London for a couple of days. This is a time-lapse of a tour of London from a double decker bus. If you look carefully and don't blink, you'll see most of the popular landmarks.

Fort Lauderdale to Delray Beach Time Lapse

01:57
I left the Floridian diner in Fort Lauderdale around 2am and headed east to A1A. I drove north along the coast for 24 miles. I finally stopped at Dada's, off Atlantic in Delray Beach. 24 miles in 1 minute and 44 seconds. This means my average speed was over 800mph! LOL Seriously, the original footage is high definition, 1920 x 1080. It was made using thousands of still frames from a Nikon D200 and edited together on a Macbook Pro. Watching the HD version of this video on a large screen is incomparable to watching it here. Because of the rapidly changing scenery, time-lapse motion doesn't compress well to internet video.

Gallery Show Time Lapse

01:18
Time lapse video of my recent gallery show at Studio19 in Fort Lauderdale. Thirteen pieces from the "Digital Solarization" series were shown. Most are visible on the wall to the left. Each piece begins as a black and white photograph which is then colored digitally. For this video, I set my Nikon D200 to take a picture every 30 seconds for almost 4 hours and a total of 468 images. Thanks to Tim, Moni, Ashlee, Jillian, Nicole, Travis, Les, Geoff, Toby, Caroline and everyone else that came out. My show was a complete success and I even sold 2 pieces the next day.

I'd like to see MORE of your art, close-up! OMG, I LOVE David Spade! Funny vid! LOL! BRB! I used to have a major crush on him when I was single, so much so that I originally wrote him in my profile as who I wanted to meet!
