Imagine that; an artist who actually has something to say! He’s no follower but R.E.U.B. joins the likes of Nas, Mos Def, Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, and Lauren Hill as an artist prepared to speak his mind no matter the consequence. Though revered for his smooth yet raspy vocals, R.E.U.B. is actually more of a “right up in your face” kind of rapper than a lounge guy. He confidently states “I may not throw the first punch, but I will most definitely throw the last one!” Taking a non-traditional route for an unsigned artist, R.E.U.B. chose not to do a mix-tape! Instead he is releasing a remix album: THE BILLBOARD INSURGENCE: r.e.mixed. No not an album of mid 1990’s hip hop classics as you might expect, rather an album of hit records from today’s Billboard Charts. Aiming to improve upon some of today biggest hits, he has remixed songs from 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blidge, Ray J, Alicia Keys, Musiq Soul Child, One Republic, Timbaland, John Mayer, Saigon, Lupe Fiasco, Rhiana, Keisha Cole, and even Michael Jackson.
