On Thursday, August 28, Drury students, faculty, and staff converged on Hammons Field to see the Cardinals take a tough loss to Tulsa in Texas League baseball action. Pouncer the Panther was in the crowd, and a number of Drury's student-athletes and coaches were recognized on the field in pre-game festivities.
Students in Dr. Erin Kenny's HNRS/SOCI 390 class got an exciting surprise recently when Brittney Laleh Banaei, a Persian American bellydancer and director of Springfield's Evolution Dance Company, made a visit to the classroom. Brittney performed a bellydancing demostration to the class, and got everyone involved with a crash course lesson in the expressive dance.
You can hear the music even before you step inside the Mabee Performing Arts Center on the Drury University campus. The sound of Drury Jazz Camp is in the air along Benton Avenue.
Watch as Drury students hurl computers, televisions, and, yes, even toilets off of Turner Hall on the Drury University campus in Springfield, Missouri! (Please excuse the poor audio quality on this video!).
