I saw this funny looking mutt while with my kids at "Boo in the Zoo" in Greenville, SC on 10.21.2008. She wasn't allowed into the zoo with the dog, so she stood outside the gate showing it off to the kiddies.
I got through walking the kids home from school when we heard what sounded like a lawnmower in the sky. Out from above the pecan tree came the Goodyear Blimp! So I shot this mini-vid as it flew away. The wind was blowing pretty good, and it looked like they were having some fun trying to keep the thing flying straight up there!
The last of three songs I recorded this group performing is a Rolling Stones cover called "Honky Tonk Woman." ...from the Aunt Het Day Festival in Fountain Inn, SC, 10/4/2008.
In this second tune performed by the band, Ben E. King's "Stand by Me" was put to the test. They didn't do too bad of a job... from the Aunt Het Day Festival in Fountain Inn, SC, 10/4/2008.
This thing churns two tubs of homemade ice cream at once keeping this guy in four flavors all through the day at the Aunt Het Day Festival in Fountain Inn, SC, 10/4/2008. He offered chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and oreo.
At the Aunt Het Day Festival in Fountain Inn, SC, my son Sam rides some crazy contraption. I enjoy watching these kids as the ride takes off and they start screaming in unison.
Me and my group of kids, including my son Sam, at Niven's Apple Farm in Moore, SC... 10/03/08. We went there on a second grade field trip from Fountain Inn Elementary School in Fountain Inn, SC. This is our first journey through their Corn Maze!

I went on a second grade field trip with my son Sam on October 3rd, 2008. It was a blast... as is any time I get to spend with my kids! This 4-part video is the hayride I enjoyed with him and other kids and parents from Fountain Inn Elementary School in Fountain Inn, SC. Sorry if some of it is shaky, but I tried not to spend the whole time staring at the camera... a very fascinating place!
Also, those who know me know I love Mother Earth, so note the guide talking about the disappearing bees! You will also see how bad the drought has effected the upstate of South Carolina.
Also, I believe it is in Part 4, but you will notice a bratty kid. Down with bratty kids! ARRRGGH!

This was taken back in May of a "Big Ass Black Snake" on my front porch... it's a Black Racer, I'm pretty sure. They're very common in South Carolina. This was taken in Fountain Inn.
Sam's side gave it their all, but Mrs. Gore's 1st grade class boys at Fountain Inn Elementary in Fountain Inn, SC just could not muster the UMPH! to make the rope move far enough in their direction during their Field Day tug-of-war. Note how Sam gets dragged like a fish for just a moment.
Took this video at Sam's Field Day (Mrs. Gore's 1st Grade class, Fountain Inn Elementary, Fountain Inn, SC). Notice the kids starting midway through the clip... they go into this impromptu humming while trying to see who can balance their water bottle on top of their head the longest. Kids are crazy... though I suppose they make sense to one another :-)
My son Sam is learning to use the garden equipment at only 7 years old (next Tuesday!). And don't worry... when he lets go of the handle grip, the tiller turns off :-)
