What started as a fad amongst the comic set in Japan has taken root around the world, and is transforming the way we live our lives. From horseless buggies to so called “internets” that allow us to shop for goods while wearing only underwear in the privacy of our homes, Technology is, without a doubt, the wave of the future. Rather than get left behind in the dust, we here at Etsy have decided to eschew our bulky, paper-ridden press kit, and replace it with a sleek, Tokyo-worthy new EPK, or Electronic Press Kit. An EPK is a standard press kit in digital form. Instead of sending an environmentally inconsiderate stack of documents to our press and media contacts, the new EPK will consist of only one DVD, which can be reused or recycled in a number of ways. Included on our EPK, will be our press clippings, information about Etsy and its members, interviews and b-roll footage for television (a box that broadcasts moving pictures into your home while you shop on the “internets” in your undies), and the Pièce de résistance, our beautiful new video about Etsy.
