Have you been to Ohio's first and oldest summer resort town? We have! Positively Cleveland took a trip to Ashtabula County to check out the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, cruise the Geneva-on-the-Lake "strip" and more to see what makes this lakeside Cleveland Plus destination one that shouldn't be missed.
Positively Cleveland visited the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo to check out the construction of the 2009 Dinosaurs! exhibit. Along the beautiful shores of Waterfowl Lake, Dinosaurs! features species of beasts never before displayed at the Zoo - including the Edmontosaurus, the tiny Compsognathus and the Cryolophosaurus, which is often referred to as the "Elvisaurus" because the large crest atop its skull resembles the iconic hair of Elvis Presley.
Dinosaurs! is just $1 per person with regular Zoo admission and free for Zoo members and children under 2. The exhibit is open daily from Thursday, May 21, through Sunday, September 13.
Before the start of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, fans gathered in Tower City with Moondog and Ahmaad to sign a Cleveland Cavaliers flag that will fly high above the city (at the top of Terminal Tower) for the rest of the NBA playoffs. Positively Cleveland's Freddie Coffey was there to sign the flag, say "Hi" to Moondog and watch the flag be raised into the clear Cleveland sky.
Positively Cleveland took a short trip down I-77 to check out the new "Barkitecure" exhibit at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens in Akron, Ohio. The summer-long outdoor art installation features whimsical, functional one-of a kind dog houses designed for Stan Hywet by local artists and architects. The exhibit runs through October 31.
