As the title suggests, this is the first in a series of customer testimonials for Butler, NJ based HVACR business Air Expo, LLC.

While in production of the video for their song "When Autumn Leaves", the guys in Echofission premiered a new track, called (as you can see in the title) "The Beast". It just sort of happened that when I recorded it in their practice session I had 2 cameras in-hand, and the sound didn't come out bad at all - especially for something unplanned. So, I went ahead and grabbed some more footage at their show that weekend at Tierney's in Montclair, synched it up and slapped it together... here's the result!

Martha Stewart held a contest a while back in which entrants were supposed to prove to her that they were the most worthy of having her design and build a dream kitchen in their home. My aunt entered in hopes of being able to finish off the rather large-scale makeover of her own kitchen, which had stalled after an incredible amount of work. Using home video that she and my cousins had shot simply to document my uncle's extreme do-it-yourself project as its basis, I put together this entry video.

The most recent commissioned job of Gas Money Productions - get kids excited to join 4H. Well, it helps when the kids in the program are so psyched up about it to begin with, but a few transitions and animations never hurt anybody! Features "Let It Shine" by JAYMIE GERARD, music produced by SARIC.

Well, this is something of a favorite of mine... because it contains the only actual DIRECTING that I ever did with this band. Blink and you'll miss it, but it happens at about the halfway point. Anyway, this video, as I recall, utilized the same PowerMac G4 and Adobe Premiere, also using the pair of GL-1s... it was my "return" to videography after a brief return to school, and honestly I think I hit the ground running. The shame of it is, we weren't able to show THIS video on the screen at Soundgarden because the projector wasn't working that night. Sucks, because as you will see it was completely tailored to break the 4th wall.

This video was shown on the big screen at Soundgarden in Lodi NJ just before the band took the stage for their 2nd anniversary show in October 2001. This video was edited on the PowerMac G4 tower with Adobe Premiere, but the "Benjamins 2.0" footage was shot using 2 GL-1's simultaneously to give a more dynamic edit.

This was something thrown together in a few days just so (if I recall correctly) the band had something to send out to far-away venues in support of their CD release. I'm not thrilled with this piece, but... it was done, so here it is. Incidentally, this was also shot on GL-1's but was edited on a PowerBook G4 using Final Cut Pro 4.

The first project I shot & edited with this, or any band. Shot over the course of 2 1/2 months back in the year 2000 using a Canon GL-1, edited on a PowerMac G4 tower using Adobe Premiere.

So, my old writing partner and I got hired to do a commercial for a local diner. This was our concept pitch - in each commercial, a sleeping person would be told about the diner's menu, and when they woke up would find themselves craving the food. After 5 or so spots, the the biggest-budgeted commercial would showcase a legion of sleepwalkers converging on the restaurant in the dead of night. The owners loved it, but the diner closed down before we could shoot the "REAL" commercial. Nonetheless, here is our concept short, shot in one take.

Essentially this is a longer version of the gag reel of The Devil You Know. It's all about the kinda things that go on when you've got enough tape that you never shut the camera off, maybe even when you should. Additionally, this piece involves our rehearsals, in which we refined the script through ad-libbing, etc. Enjoy!

This is the original cut of The Devil You Know... or at any rate as close to what was intended with the screenplay as I could make 5 years later. Actually, I dig it - but it does have a SUBSTANTIALLY different sensibility than the "Theatrical Cut."

Yeah, making your first indie short you make a lot of mistakes, and The Devil You Know was no different. We turned those into this short piece, and cut it to an appropriate Charlie Daniels tune (without explicit consent, but hopefully he's cool with that).
