"All day, all nght, Marianne...." danced at a community dance in Georgetown, CT, sponsored by the Georgetown Association. Held in a historic building - the Gilbert and Bennett School. Great space, wood floor. Nice community mix of younger & older & in-between. Caveat - I'm a caller, not a singer (though I keep getting better!). I learned this little dance from Karen Kaufman, a wonderful caller from the Midwest.
Girl Scout father/daughter dance. Dads & their daughters dancing the last waltz of the evening. It was so sweet. The music was beautiful. I wonder if the dads have any idea the lasting memories they made this night of dancing with their daughters.
Girl Scouts and their dads danced a version of the Tunnel Contra last night. Over 250 people were dancing together - great to see dads dancing with their daughters! The music was wonderful!
