Leigh Casino (a converted opera theatre in southeast Lancashire) was a beehive of local, national and international musical activity from the late 1950's through up until it's closure and convertion into Reubens nightclub in 1983. In this film, local legend and 1960's Decca recording artist Ronnie Carr interviews the owner of the ballroom Winnie Brierley and Casino Big Band front man Johnny Prior about the actual goings on and weekly activities at the historical venue during it's heyday. Leigh Casino or ''The Cass'' has since become a mythical british venue after The Beatles performed there in February 1963 to a packed live audience. A complete list of all the past casino performers is incalcuable but this film tries to cover the most important events briefly, yet honouring all the Stars that performed there over the years.
