Like every year since 1992 and Rio’s ecological summit, June 8th, 2009 is devoted to the ocean. The perfect occasion for us all to show that we love it and wish to protect it. Can’t you see how? Surfrider Foundation Europe thought about organizing the following event: a compilation of your photos on a website.
The concept is simple; you get dressed in blue and take a photo of yourself while having the letters WOD or the complete mention of Word Ocean Day visible. Then, you upload the photos onto the Facebook page specially created for the occasion, and, for those who are motivated enough, you can join Biarritz Headquarter’s Surfrider Foundation team on June 8th* at the ‘’Grande Plage’’ for a group photo in order to remind us that ocean is the beginning of life. In parallel, as part of the cross-border project called Mare Urdina, the event will also take place at “La Concha” beach in San Sebastian.
The best photo will be posted on the front page of the website until it is removed by a better one.
