A brief interview amidst the vineyards of this popular winery, chatting about "veraison" which is not really a technical term, so much as a French term describing the changing of the berries (grapes) from green to their end color. Dr. Karasz also discusses his winery, Rock Stream Vineyards, which is the only winery licensed as a distillery on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail and whose Reisling-based Grappa (grape vodka) won a double gold medal at the recent 2009 NY Wine and Food Classic competition.
