Music and lyrics by Jimmy Owens.
Some Christians are either intensely private .. or very mercenary. I can't tell you anything about Jimmy, except I found this lovely devotional in 'Ring of Praise' a Sydney based Anglican published booklet.

Many overseas will have missed how the NSW Australian Labor Party (politically liberal) has imploded recently. They were only elected last year for a term that won't finish until 2011, but the leader, treasurer, health minister and police minister have all left in the last two weeks.

I love the silhouette's number, and feel that it deserves much better treatment than that I gave it ..
An introduction to this Australian story.

Poetry from Lem's Cyberiad
Klapaucius thought, and thought some more. Finally he nodded and said:
"Very well. Let's have a love poem, lyrical, pastoral, and expressed in the language of pure mathematics. Tensor algebra mainly, with a little topology and higher calculus, if need be. But with feeling, you understand, and in the cybernetic spirit."
"Love and tensor algebra? Have you taken leave of your senses?" Trurl began, but stopped, for his electronic bard was already declaiming (see lyric)

The video is a gift for a newly engaged couple who were former students of mine.
He really loves himself and political power. He is panicking with NT elections, and Gippsland.
this is just a sketch. I'm looking for someone willing to play with this.
Love of My Life is a ballad from the album A Night at the Opera by English rock band Queen. A live release of the single reached number 1 in Argentina and Brazil, in 1979. The preceding track on the album, "The Prophet's Song", flows seamlessly into this song, although the two were never performed back to back live.
Freddie Mercury wrote it on the piano and guitarist Brian May rearranged the song for acoustic 12-string guitar to facilitate live performances. May contributed occasional guitar phrases to the original recording and played the swooping harp glissandos by pasting together multiple takes of single chords. The song is a good example of Mercury's familiarity with rubato phrasing, showcasing his classical piano influences, notably by Chopin and Beethoven.
For those wishing to source or use, please ask Ed. He's accomodating
Mr Ed Nichols played the beautiful track.

I butchered it with my voice. Modelled, a little, on the brilliant Baboon's track, but not copied.

Images were sourced by me and all are significant, particularly the last four.
Euphoria came up with the tune. Revive put in the words. I'm the butcher who put in two extra parts and the monkey who found images.
It's early in the morning and I'm not thinking straight. I've never attempted two part singing before and this has been edited, although it requires more .. I'd like your thoughts. You don't have to be nice to me, but I'll sit on the bum that criticises the others ..

this is my cover of the immortal "heads, shoulders, knees and toes" [http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=38876]
I love the power of this song and these lyrics. The song has been called, by different people, for different reasons, the greatest song ever written.
It is also a devotional piece for me, and related to my testimony as to how I became a Christian. So I wasn't going to accept the quality of the earlier track .. and I am aware of the failings of this one too, but I think I've improved in two years, too.
The theme tune was written by Mike Post. "Hill Street Blues is a serial police drama that was first aired on NBC in 1981 and ran for 146 episodes on primetime into 1987. It received high critical acclaim and its innovations proved highly influential on serious dramatic television series produced in North America. Its debut season was honored with eight Emmy awards, a debut season record surpassed only by The West Wing, and the show received a total of 98 Emmy Award nominations during its run"

Made for the coming ANZAC Day celebrations. I have nothing but respect for soldiers. I think things are worth fighting for. I don't like war, but sometimes we gotta. I became a citizen on the 12/4/2008.
"And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" is a song, written by Eric Bogle in 1972, describing the futility, gruesome reality and the destruction of war, while criticising those who seek to glorify it.

Paul Simon wrote it as a love song to his first wife, in 1973. I wanted to cover it because I became a citizen of Australia (retaining dual nationality with the US) on Saturday 12th and I had cause to think. I have Aboriginal ancestry, and I am appalled at how politics have shaped recent events, and for this young girl.

Bind Us Together (Bob Gillman)
Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken;
Bind us together, lord
Bind us together, lord
Bind us together with love.
There is only one god;
There is only one king;
There is only one body;
That is why I sing ...
An introduction to the second intifada. This is the first of a series of documentaries. It starts with the recent seminary slayings, and glosses over events that will later be covered in depth.
This is documentary, asking questions, not providing a view point, although the documentary maker has an opinion which informs their direction.

Tangled Up Puppet is a Harry Chapin Number
I am making some very strong statements with the video, but I'm afraid the statements are compromised by my trying to say too much. Chapin passed away too soon.
