He triumphed through it all, introduced his street-style roping to the conservative skipping world, and became one of the most famous and accomplished skippers in the world.

In 1985, two of Australia's premiere skip ropers, Spiradon 'Mr Invisible' Savvas and Arthur 'Venom' Penington, put aside their dislike and united to lead Team Bluejuice into the World Skip Rope Championships. Their opponents - Shimmer Extreme, the young guns. It was a battle for the history books, one that is still spoken about to this day.
In 2009, Team Bluejuice and Shimmer Extreme are set to make history as they again battle it out for the championship.
