Real change can happen real fast. We can strengthen our economy, lower fuel costs, free ourselves from our addiction to oil, and help solve the climate crisis. We can do this by switching to clean, free energy sources like the wind and sun -- and to do it within 10 years.
Meeting this ambitious goal would create millions of new jobs, lead to permanently lower energy costs for families and help America lead the fight against global warming.

The solution to our climate crisis seems simple.
Repower America with wind and solar. End our dependence on foreign oil. A stronger economy.
So why are we still stuck with dirty and expensive energy?
Because big oil spends hundreds of millions of dollars to block clean energy.
Lobbyists, ads, even scandals.
All to increase their profits, while America suffers.
Breaking big oil's lock on our government ...
Now that's change.
We're the American people and we approve this message.
This is the Alliance for Climate Protection's first ad prior to the We Campaign. In this video, we are helping alert Americans about the urgency of the climate crisis and engaging them to solve it.
This ad brings to life the contribution that each household is making towards climate change and demonstrates some very easy ways to help reduce it while saving money. You'll recognize the voice as that of the actor Tommy Lee Jones.
The Alliance for Climate Protection and Current TV challenged viewers to make provocative ecospots: short video messages to drive friends, community, and government to get involved in solving the climate crisis. The grand prize winner of the ":60 Seconds to Save the Earth" Ecospot Contest was Dave Schlafman for his video entitled Sky is Falling.
On March 30, 2008, Al Gore appeared on CBS's 60 Minutes to discuss the launch of the We Campaign, a multi-year, bipartisan $300 million campaign to solve the climate crisis. This is part 2 of the interview.
While Reverend Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson have different views on most issues, when it comes to the urgency of protecting the planet, they agree.
"I am honored that Al Gore asked me to be a part of this campaign urging people to take care of the planet," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcast Network. “It's just common sense that we ought to be good stewards of the environment and do everything within our power to protect this fragile planet that we all live on."
At the taping of this clip, the two joked and prayed together. If these polar opposites can come together on this important and moral issue, why can't you?

As Americans, we don't wait for other people to take the lead when a problem needs to be fixed. In this ad, William H. Macy shows that by solving the climate crisis, we are honoring an American tradition.
I am shocked to have the privilege of being the first to comment. I find great hope for the world in these messages and commitment to the awakening of the planet. Yes, "WE CAN SOLVE IT". Thank you.
