Highlights from the Chicago Red Stars vs. FC Gold Pride 1-1 tie held on June 7, 2009 at Buck Shaw Stadium, in Santa Clara, California. The Red Stars came back from a 1-0 deficit after Eriko Arakawa crossed a ball directly in front of the goal to Christine Sinclair, who slipped behind the Red Stars defense and scored from the left side. Trailing 1-0 in the 47th minute, Megan Rapinoe played the ball in from the left side and crossed to Cristiane, who headed it on target from directly in front of the goal. The ball appeared to deflect off the leg of FC Gold Pride defender Rachel Buehler before going in the net but Cristiane was credited with her second goal, tying Lindsay Tarpley as Chicagos leading scorer on the season.

Highlights from the Chicago Red Stars vs. LA Sol 1-1 tie held on June 3, 2009 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The Red Stars held the number one team to a 0-0 tie, until Red Stars forward Ella Masar slotted a ball in front of the goal where teammate Cristiane then nailed it into the back of the net. Then, in the last minute of regulation, Camile Abily hit a great volley into the net after the ball deflected off a few players in the box to tie up the game. The final score was 1-1.
