RE-VO "Worldview" -- What effect does the propagation of media violence and sexuality have on listeners of average or below average intelligence? Bandura, the NIMH, and countless others posited that children and young people do learn from television and videos, and model the behaviours that they see there. Furthermore, since all-pervasive environments are not detectable, viewers become immersed in consumerist media and advertising, and are thus, unable to form or are disinterested in forming a "worldview," a big picture on political ideas and world events.
The effect of mass-media, in a short 60 years, has been devastating. After the Vietnam War brought atrocities and violence into people's living rooms in the 1960s, urban violence in America almost doubled (per capita) in the 1970s.
Today, 1/3 of male college students surveyed revealed that they would rape women, if they felt that they could get away with it.
In the past few decades, while parents were using television as virtual baby-sitters, something went horribly wrong in the ethical foundations of America. But even worse, as the educated-few complain about the most corrupt government in US history, we witness the lowest voter turn-outs yet.... politics and government is a very boring realm to today's youth, as compared with the political preoccupation of hippies 40 years ago.
Today's media consumer would much rather dwell on the latest model of IPod or BlackBerry, and hang out at Starbucks or the Gap, than listen to a newscast.
Only three percent of Americans read books......
As the song goes:
Don't you have a Worldview?
What the fuck is wrong with you?

"We are not alone" -- what is our origin? Simple Darwinian evolution, deistic intervention, or perhaps that of ancient bioengineering astronauts? Some conspiracy theorists have posited the existence of a distant planet named Nibiru that revolves around the Sun in a long cigar-shaped orbit that lasts 3750 years. Through the divine intervention of a brilliant bioengineering scientist to whom the Sumerians referred as "En-ki," humanity was conceived as an experiment, according to theorists such as Zecharia Sitchin.
To write a song like this you must have a perfect worldview! I loved it before, the video just adds extra strength to it.
My compliments to the director!
And I love that angel-like girl. Her eyes and voice are just hypnotising...

Outstanding work as always RE-VO! Very thought provoking.
Sweet Gaia, what a great video! Lovely to see a powerful visual illustration of one of my favorite RE-VO songs, which condenses a remarkable amount of social commentary into just a few minutes. And I dig the transcendent space angel on guest vocals!
Bravo! Meaningful, Timely, Visually Arresting, Catchy....
I Expect Nothing Less From You RE-VO
