An art exhibition was held at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall, developed by Health promotion @ Western Cheshire Primary Care Trust in partnership with the Borough Council. Over 200 people visited the exhibition, which displayed artworks by local groups and services, as well as some contemporary professional artists. The aim was Art For Health, endorsing the possibility of maximising emotional health & well being through being creative, absorbing and experiencing art and seeing your art exhibited. The event was very successful and we have been fortunate enough to make new links with partners who we can support with similar initiatives in the future. In addition to this short film, there are also photographs of the event on our MySpace pages. A huge thank you to all the artists who worked so hard to support us.
In addition, a RISKIES event was staged at West Cheshire College on Wednesday 26th November. Around 100 students and staff were able to gain more information on health risks connected with smoking, alcohol and sexual health issues. Contact us for further information on all Health Promotion events.
