On September 6, 2005, the Rolling Stones released their long awaited album A Bigger Bang, their first album of new material since 1997's Bridges to Babylon.
Nine days earlier, on August 29th, the band took over Zaphod, a small club in Ottawa, to shoot a music video for their first single, Streets Of Love.

As August 2005 came to a close, the Gulf Coast lay devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
The Rolling Stones arranged for Red Cross booths to be stationed at concerts across the country, with each donor receiving a CD single of the Richards/Jagger song, 'Hurricane'.
