GIT was born on Staten Island, New York. He spent his childhood on Staten Island where he began DJing by the age of 13 and producing by the age of 16. Since then, GIT has written, mixed and produced music for various artists and labels. In the past, he has worked with artists such as Wu Tang Clan, Lost Boyz and Rakim. Git was also signed to PayDay Records in 1994 as a Artist/Producer alone side of Mos Def,Group Home,Juru,Show & AG & more before they could release Git's single the label went under in 1995. Currently he is working with artists such as... Raekwon of Wu Tang Clan, Goretex of Non Phixion Rockness Moster of Heltah Skeltah, Lady Bug Mecca of Digable Planets, Prince Po of Organized Konfusion,T-Weaponz, Trae, Ice Water, Ark, Andyill, Big Brooklyn Red & more... GIT has also worked on several projects for NIKE, including a collaboration on a VIDEO for the single "Keep On Pushing" feat.Ark Of T-Weaponz & Big Brooklyn Red from his upcoming LP "Say Cheeze!" Due out in late 2008. Featured on Myspace.com/GITBEATS & Myspace.com/GITBEATZ. He has created music for the soundtrack of the movie "SANGRE DE MI SANGRE" and "STATEN ISLAND" for BOLLYWOOD FILMS released in 2008 . GIT also adds his knowledge of music in the the movie "DEEP CRATES", currently out on DVD.
