Main Street Louisville, KY 40202 (Bingham Theatre) UNIVERSES puts the state of the Union under a microscope—race, poverty, politics, history and government—examining our country through the lens of Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans. Ameriville combines an innovative mix of poetry, music, movement and drama to get to the heart of this American tragedy. AMERIVILLE is made possible in part by: The Humana Festival @ The Actors Theatre of Louisville (KY); A grant from the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Ensemble Theatre Collaborations Grant Program, a component of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Theatre Initiative; The National Performance Network (NPN) Creation Fund Project, co-commissioned by New World Theater in partnership with Helena Presents, Dance Place and NPN. Major contributors of NPN are the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, Ford Foundation, Nathan Cumming Foundation, MetLife Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts (a federal agency); and the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundations, Mid-Atlantic Tours.
