An original tune about the beauty of the night sky at the Hyalite Canyon near Bozeman Montana. The guitar represents a satellite passing through the clear night sky while the cello melody represents us, here on earth, looking out into the beauty of space. Filmed at the University of Georgia by Barry Rizel of hydrasound studios (http:hydra-sound.com) Montana Skies (http://montanaskiesmusic.com)
Montana Skies playing their original tune "Gringo Flamenco". (Ramsey Hall -University of Georgia- Athens, GA 2007)
About the tune: Gringo Flamenco came from jamming and having fun playing with some flamenco/gypsy music ideas. We were traveling in the Southwest and some folks wanted to hear hear more of our "flamenco" music; We started exploring this style of music and discovered that even two gringos like us have a bit of flamenco in our souls.
Montana Skies (cello and guitar) play "Gringo Flamenco' with the full band. Jenn Adams (cello), Jonathan Adams (guitar), Arvin Scott (percussion), Joel Byron (egg shaker) and Sallie Lupis (bass).
