You know we hardly ever do covers, right? Well, the very first time that Joshua Harrison played drums with us was at this last minute appearance in Atlanta back in November (2007). It was a David Bowie tribute gig (Hence the Union Jack.) at 10 High in Atlanta, GA. It was a fun little performance. Here's a clip from "Rebel Rebel". Quite a few have asked to see it so FINALLY here it is. It's just a static camera in the ceiling with really dry soundboard audio. We were rusty, unrehearsed and having fun. And we were happy to be in a band with 4 people on the same page for a change, too! ROCK!

Here's a bootleg video of us at the International Pop Overthrow in Atlanta on February 16, 2008. This was shot with one of those disposable, throwaway cameras and the audio quality reflects that as we completely distort the cameras little mic. If you can get past that, it's a decent document of us doing "Sadder Day" with Joshua Harrison, who wound up playing the song for the Satisfactionista album with us!

Chris McKay discusses the Mellotron part in "Something Unseen" with Dave Barbe who produced the album with the Critical Darlings. This was on one of the last days of recording for the Satisfactionista album, which is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2008. The song also features Mike Garson (from David Bowie) and Brad Morgan (from Drive-By Truckers). Filmed by Joe Orr.

This is the final song from the final performance by the original lineup of the Critical Darlings. Two days later, our drummer quit . This was at the amazing 40 Watt Club in Athens as we opened for Cowboy Mouth. A pic of me from this show (taken by Rich Merritt) wound up in The Washington Post of all places about a month later. What a weird time.

Here's one of the original three-piece lineup at our CD release party at Nuci's Space in October of '05. Fittingly, we played this which was NOT on the album. It's the only time the song has ever been performed (to date).
