I'm not one of those musicians who plays a lot of cover songs (in fact, I try to avoid them). However, I've noticed that there's not too many videos showing cover songs being created on a BOSS RC-50 Loop Station. I feel that there's still a lot to learn on the RC-50 and its important to show how others can build previously made masterpieces out of thin air, all by their lonesome. If my lesson is even remotely what I intended it to be, you will be able to apply what you learned to your own song writing and Loop Station usage. A 100% improv tutorial on how cronkite satellite uses a BOSS RC-50 LOOP STATION to create his one-man-act on stage. This video HAD TO be made because too many people don't understand how the RC-50 works. As I increase my amount of live performances, more and more people think I'm just using a CD player on stage and that I "Milli Vanilli" my shows. With that said, I've never claimed to be good at "freestyling" and I feel my off-the-cuff lyrics illustrate this (i.e. "stay out of my medicine cabinet." Whatever that's supposed to mean). This is not my greatest improve jam, but it is what it is. However, I feel this video, not only, showcases the RC-50's many possibilities, but it demonstrates how smoothly I can create original music. At the end of the day, this was a pretty fun jam session and I hope you can benefit from it in some way or another. Thanks for watching and listening.
