Doug Robertson's acounting of the actual Bla Bla Cafe which hosted him in his early days of performing. The club was located on Ventura Blvd. in North Hollywood, the Los Angeles, Ca. area.
Doug's group opened for Jazz Great Al Jarreau on Saturday nights for several weeks in the early '70s. (Alan sings his Jazz songs).
"Sally really was the person who would greet you at the Cafe," Recalls Doug, "He was the flamingest of flaming gays at the time. Funny, nice and a great host."
This Doug Robertson and Company performance was recorded in February of 2009.
