This fabulous new video for 'Rock The Joint' by Wild Rumpus has been created by Tabbi O' Connell, an animation and live action director with 20 years experience in the industry, having worked on Harry Potter, Anastasia, Ren & Stimpy, Mr Bean as well as a plethora of commercials and music videos. Featured artist Beardyman appears in the video, in live action as well as morphing into an animated character, alongside Wild Rumpus duo Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy and Gary Lucas. 'Rock The Joint' is the third release from the hugely acclaimed Wild Rumpus project. Wild Rumpus has been at the forefront of the cosmic tip since the reggae-dub-bliss out ‘Musical Blaze Up’ released in 2006 and the ensuing surf anthem ‘Purple Somersault’ sent psychedelic taste buds sizzling alongside other acts such as Beyond The Wizards Sleeve, Time & Space Machine and Voice of the Seven Woods. This new single takes the sound to another dimension. Featured artist Beardyman is becoming more popular than Kate Moss’ phone number, from headlining stages at Glastonbury, Lovebox, Rise, Bestival and Bloom, he was recently nominated for a Digital Music Award (Best Urban Act, alongside MIA and Wiley) and took the roof off at the Roundhouse with three encores and a standing ovation. He is also just back from San Francisco after performing at the historic Youtube Live event, his performance being the highlight of the show. Wild Rumpus is Colleen Murphy (Cosmo) and Gary Lucas. New Yorker Colleen has been pushing musical boundaries since her teens, from hosting her own radio show at high school to becoming a regular guest at David Mancuso’s infamous Loft parties. Gary Lucas is widely considered to be the guitar world’s greatest living talent. Previously of Captain Beefheart, Gary is famed for his multi-faceted musical creativity, collaboration projects, film scores and his new band Gods & Monsters. As the co-writer of Jeff Buckley’s seminal ‘Grace’, Gary is no stranger to making hits, yet his passion for experimentation continues to make him one of music’s more interesting characters.
