Recorded in 1988 at Washboard Bill's home in West Palm Beach Florida. Bill singing his favorite song and one he wrote - 'Sunshine Florida' (he loved living in South Florida) - on his baritone ukulele. Ironically this was filmed during a sudden burst of rain, you can hear it in the background (the static sound). Another rare video of the man with the Florida tan (as he would often joke).
One of only a few Blues artists given the Florida heritage award, he once recorded an album for the Smithsonian (!) with Pete Seeger and Brownie McGhee and cut several singles for King Records. In his youth he was a bona fide Hobo, riding the rails along the Eastern Seaboard. He was a storyteller and joke master supreme. His business card read simply, "WASHBOARD BILL - RHYTHM, BLUES, COMEDY".
