The "Khool Zhingel" Ensemble blending two musical worlds and two approaches to the sound perception. On the East there's Orda, Siberia, nomadic Turkic minorities, on the West there's Russia, the Slavic culture.
One of the experiments of the band is the attempt to blend Asian music of wild steppe, throat singing with the lyrics in Russian.
In the music of Khool Zhingel we can hear also the Russian folklore and authentic Tatar material, historically related to other Turkic traditions, like Tuva, Altai, Buryatia.
Line up:
Alexandr Batrakov: throat singing, vocals, igil, guitar, percussion, lyrics and music
Dina Bashkirova: vocals, violin, tin whistle, percussion
Vladiswar Nadishana: turkish kaval, hybrid kaval, futujara, hulusi, percussion

The technique of playing and sound properties of this flute is very similar to slovak koncovka. And if you love russian kalyuka, but it's too hard for you to learn how to make a sound, then it's the option for you.
Recommended for professionals for the stage performans and studio work. Have sharp penetrating sound full of hi harmonics.
Recommended for the beginners: since the flute has the fipple you can get the sound right away and achieve quite impressive results pretty fast. Very easy to play!
Very affordable price - 25 euro, sets and single instruments available.

Just testing new spanish bagpipe - fresh out of the box:)
I traded it for the futujara.
It’s elaborated and made by galician luthier Francisco Reguero. This gaita have special construction: it’s very quiet and needs very few air to play. Actually that’s the easiest bagpipe i played on!
it has no drone pipe, so i use the drone from my computer.

Soon this instrument will available here for the order.
On this video you can see the playing style changes. There's 4 of styles i use: turkish (over the right side of the lips), persian (between upper front teeth),
khakass khobrakh flute style (between upper 2nd and 3rd tooth), shakuhachi position (lower lip inside the end of the flute)
Hybrid Kaval is an experimental instrument elaborated by my friend David Faulwasser. It's made with the idea of multi-style playing in mind. It is possible to use different playing positions on it: turkish (over the right side of the lips), persian (between upper front teeth,
khakassian khobrakh flute style (between upper 2nd and 3rd tooth), shakuhachi position. The playing tube is interchangable: you can use 8-hole turkish kaval system or 9-hole armenian blul system.
It is chromatic and have the range of 3 octaves.

The duo of two virtuoso multi-skilled musicians Nadishana / Raphael De Cock is a fusion project which takes you to musical journey through different ethnic cultures. Combining self-composed and traditional tunes musicians shows the knowledge of the wide range of traditional musical cultures and innovative approach to cross-cultural fusion.
Khakas odd meters are blending here with Sami yoik, dzuddahord is accompanying uilleann pipes, kaval meets chathan.
Musicians use traditional folk instruments (uilleann pipes, chathan, low whistle, khomus, udu) in combination with self-invented (futujara, dzuddahord, hybrid kaval).

This is new instrument which you can buy in our online shop now!
It’s fine tuned instruments which can be played by beginners and by professional musicians. A variety of musical scales is offered to you, allowing you to choose your favorite tuning.
The 1Tone drum is made of Carbon steel. The properties of this material contribute to the divine sound of the drum. This strong metal will keep the drum tuned for a long lasting period.
Our shell design and note placement were inspired by the famous Swiss made hang drum.
The 1Tone drum has a central note which is pressed out by hand and tuned to one of the tones of the scale.
Part of the tongues on the upper side of the drum there is also a single tongue on the bottom side, it is in harmonic relations with it’s “opposite” note- the upper central note, they are tuned to the same key. The bottom tongue can also be played, it produces a low bassfull sound.
Here i am using special one hand technique of playing on jews harp. I use mini dan moi from Vietnam. This technique free up one of your hands so you can play on different instrument at the same time by other hand (in this case i play udu by the right hand).
Originally this technique was invented by me to save some extra time for practicing and to combine work in internet and practicing on jaw harp. So i do that pretty often when i working, but in that case instead of the udu i have mouse in my right hand:)
The time signature if this tune is 18/8 (7+7+4)
