My wife and I bought a David doll in 2007 for our three year old grandson Colton and gave it to him for Christmas that same year. The doll was from Dr. James Dobson’s Focus On The Family ministries, and sold through Walmart. The doll was one of a series of biblical characters that have an implanted microchip that tells stories of each particular character when it is activated. Not many days after giving the toy to our grandson, his mother found him looking at the accompanying storybook that came with doll, and was reciting the story while the doll stayed silent! In amazement she asked him if he had learned to read! Ha-ha! She soon realized that he had committed the story to memory by activating the doll over and over again until he learned it! Colton is 4 years old in this video, and his Mom and Memaw dressed him up like the King David doll to tell the story at his church. My eternal thanks go out to Focus On The Family and Walmart for their parts in helping us get God’s Word into Colton so that he will not depart from it and become the mighty man of God we always tell him he is! As our Lord Jesus Christ once said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Luke 18:16) Amen!

I wrote this song after reading Psalm 143 in the Holy Bible. While reading this Psalm , verse 8 really jumped out at me: "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love..." (NIV). The vocal on the song demo is by Gary McVay of Pigeon Forge, TN. I pray that this song provides hope for the weary, healing for the hurting, and joy for the downcast in spirit.
