Zozo Labrique is by far the longest song I've ever written.
This is the first video i've ever done that includes animation, and i really love the animation. The video was directed by Munesh Sobha, and the art direction by Lotfi Gouigah & Munesh Sobha. Munesh told me that the black and white shots were to reference the famous Che poster. I love it.
My second video directed by the ultra-talented Genevieve Albert, we did this one on a shoe string budget as well. Part of Genevieve’s payment for her work on this video was my fridge. Genevieve is not only my favorite director ever; she’s also one of my favorite people.
This was filmed for a TV show called Mange Ta Ville, Hosted by Catherine Pogonat, directed by Eric Morin. Some stranger picked up my guitar and started playing it without even asking me right before we did the final take, I was seriously pissed off about that.
This was filmed for a TV show called Mange Ta Ville, Hosted by Catherine Pogonat, directed by Eric Morin. The day we shot this it must have been the hottest day that summer, and we spent the whole day scouting for locations in the heat. The results were amazing and it was well worth it.
Gabriel Allard Gangon directed this one, and demonstrates the high concept low budget world of Quebec videos. He somehow hustled the STCUM to let us film in Berri Metro, in two different apartments and several outdoor locations, very Impressive.
Black Umbrellas was a crowd favorite at shows, yet never released as a single. It was directed by Simon Gagnon, filmed almost entirely in old Montreal at 6am. The rest of it was just me and Sandy at our practice space.
Directed by the talented Genevieve Albert, we did this one with zero budget but a lot of heart. My mother played the role of the mom, and my father in law played the dad. This is the first video I really had fun shooting and I totally trusted Genevieve.
This video played on MusiquePlus a couple times. It was filmed by 8 Bit Studios, at Ilot Fleurie during Le Summit Des Ameriques. All 8 Bit had were two digital cameras; one hand held, and the other taped to a hockey stick. You can still smell the teargas.
This was my first video shoot, I think it was filmed by students (Olivier Camet and Keneth Clarke). Those guys were obsessed with close-ups of the girls in our audience. I was very upset with the final product at the time, now it’s just nostalgic.
