In 2008, 6:22 will embark on the New Beginnings tour. We will host eight gatherings, one a month, in Greenville, North Carolina. The final gathering will be Worshipfest at the Greenville Convention Center, where we will have 24 hours of continuous worship in an auditorium that can seat up to 3,000.
6:22 was started when a group of teenagers were inspired by the story of King David who returned the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem with wild dancing and rejoicing. He said in II Samuel 6:22 that “I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.” For over five years we have been dancing and rejoicing in worship, ushering in God’s presence like he brought the ark. But after he brought the ark into the city, he set up a tent and established day and night worship. Musicians and prophets stood before God’s presence and ministered to him 24/7. Around 2000 years ago the apostle James referenced an ancient prophesy by Amos which says that God will “rebuild David’s fallen tent.” God’s desire is for a unified house of prayer in eastern North Carolina where there will be non-stop worship. In Biblical numerology, the number eight stands for new beginnings. We believe that 2008 will be a year of new beginnings and that a place of continuous worship could be established in Greenville this year.
Along with the monthly gatherings in Greenville, we will be traveling all over North Carolina sharing our vision of house of prayer and rallying people to Worshipfest 08.08.08. Worshipfest will be a sign to our community and region that the glory of God is coming to our land. Please join us in Greenville the first Friday of each month for a night of undignified, united worship – everyone is invited. Perhaps you’ll even want to travel around the state with us.
Be sure to check out http://www.anewdayisirising.com which will have all of our tour dates and more information on the exciting things that are coming in 2008.

As promised, we have the radar from Friday, May 26th, 2006, the night of Day Seven (the finale of the [re]discovery tour). As we worshipped that night, rain, thunder and lightning raged around us, but we hardly got rained on at the Town Commons. We had been praying hard for protection from the rain, and the Lord provided. It wasn't until 10-15 minutes after we had finished that the rain began to come. The radar photo below is from around 10pm, shortly after we had the shofar blowing and shouting. I remember right before we blew the shofars Mark told me to look up at the sky. You could literally see the clouds split over the Town Commons forming a "V" shape!
You'll notice in the image below that not only the storm is split into two pieces, but that there is actually a clear pocket around Greenville at this point! It is awesome. This radar is from about 7-11pm. Praise God!
