On October 23, 2009 at 10 PM on WRFU 104.5 FM, The Show will be hosting its 2nd installment of a five part series filmed for National Public TV. The Artists Scheduled to perform include King Midas, Dena Goldberg, The Girls Next Door and Chicago's very own Black Roses. On November 6, 2009, The Show will be hosting a panel discussion titled "Hip Hop: The Untold Contributions of Latin@s". This event is co-sponsored by PRSA, The IMC, UIUC Chapter & Funded by SORF, the panel will include an A-list of speakers including U of I Professor John Jennings; actor/producer Victor Cruz and a South Bronx Native MC Magnetic. These 3 scholars will converge for a night of lively discussion as we attempt to dispel the myths and misconceptions about the contributions of Latin@s to Hip-Hop.
