The Artists Scheduled to perform include King Midas, Dena Goldberg, The Girls Next Door and Chicago's very own Black Roses. On November 6, 2009, The Show will be hosting a panel discussion titled "Hip Hop: The Untold Contributions of Latin@s". This event is co-sponsored by PRSA, The IMC, UIUC Chapter & Funded by SORF, the panel will include an A-list of speakers including U of I Professor John Jennings; actor/producer Victor Cruz and a South Bronx Native MC Magnetic. These 3 scholars will converge for a night of lively discussion as we attempt to dispel the myths and misconceptions about the contributions of Latin@s to Hip-Hop. To be in the audience for this live taping, then contact wrfu@comcast.net.
This event will be filmed at La Casa Cultural Latina located at 1207 W. Nevada St in Urbana and is completely free. There will be exclusive tracks featured from DJBooth.net and some special surprises. Tune in to 104.5 FM or come through and catch it live before it's on TV.
