THE MERMAID DIARIES music video is a symbolic look at the ways in which our childhood can guide our entire lives. A woman, who has suffered a great deal, faces her own demons and in the process finds a new beginning.
The video begins with a young girl opening abandoned suitcases on a beach. Inside she finds pieces of a history or perhaps an unstoppable destiny. A Guardian Angel already knows everything that can happen and stays close to witness what will happen.
Our song's storyteller shows us the trinity within each of us. The inner child, the subconscious voice and the darker side deep inside each one of us, all struggling to find peace in a life that can be full of repetitive patterns.
Wedding relics, scrapbooks, an empty bottle of champagne and the man that got away all appear on this beach amongst optimistic seagulls that try to lead our heroine toward a better future. A bevy of baggage must somehow be released and left behind and only an innocent girl holds the key.
"To thine ownself be true."
