This month's countdown truly affirms the variety in Hawaiian music Pipeline 2 Paradise radio presents. Both Traditional and Island Contemporary/Reggae music shared the countdown. Remaining in the Top 7 at #7 is Keola Santos from Las Vegas with his rendition of Hi'ilawe. Entering the countdown fueled by big Na Hoku Hanohano award wins are Weldon Kekauoha with "Ka Lehua 'Ula" in at #5 and Hoku Zuttermeister with Na Pua Lei 'Ilima" in at #3. Give Aloha, Pure Aloha, featuring a collaboration of some of Hawaii's top artists falls a few spots, but still holds strong throughout the month in at #6. Hawaiian Music Video- Aloha all! My ohana and I were recently blessed to have an opportunity to leave Las vegas and return home to visit Hawai'i (9/1/07). It was nearly 4 years since our last visit. Now I could create a long list of everything that I missed about home, but what I truly missed most was the beaches. My family and I had the opportunity to play the tourist role and enjoy one of Waikiki's finest hotels, The ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel. This is the breathtaking view we had from our room on the 21st floor. For me personally the entire trip was a healing experience. Truly, there is no place like home. I hope you enjoy the view and get a sense of what I felt overlooking the shorelines of the world renown Waikiki Beach.
