There was almost a 10 second pause as the lady tried to decide how to pronounce Cecillia's Chinese first name, Xue Qiong. :) I'll give her kudos for trying and it was her first time participating in the ceremony. If you want to try to pronounce Xue Qiong, the closest tip I can offer in English is Chu (like the first part of Chuck) Chong. I've got it down pat after all these years and don't even have to think about it any more.
It was a diverse gathering of 38 new citizens from 22 countries. This was the second ceremony of the day, I'm not sure how many was in the first group but it a staggering number when you think about how many people may become new citizens each day in each major city. God Bless America!
This was toward the later half of the ceremony and the new citizens were saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

This is a introduction video to our wedding that was made when we had a formal wedding reception in Wenzhou China on Feb 2, 2002. The actual video is over 45 minutes long, this intro is about three and a half minutes.
Driving in Wenzhou China is pretty crazy. Shanghai has significantly better drivers. Watch the red taxi at the top. Some intersections have lights, the others are who ever is bravest and gets in the way first.
My first time on Tellico intoroduced me to my first waterfalls; Cry Baby, or middle ledge as it is also known, which is an 8 foot drop and also Baby Falls which is 12 - 14 feet depending where you run it.
This video is of Baby Falls and I was indecisive about catching an eddy above it or not. In the end I paddled up without as much speed as I wanted and penciled straight in. I got a little spun around underneath and came up facing the falls and slowly being drawn back in by the slight hole there.
Thanks to Chad for the footage!
